Celestial is a 2.5D Puzzle Platformer game created in a low poly art style. This project was directed towards level design and creating environmental storytelling. There was a heavy focus on the process of creating levels such as completing initial sketches and designs, documenting the environment, grey-boxing, testing, refining and dressing. After the world lost its protector, The Celestial, the world has become chaotic. Dark environments, destroyed homes and evil creatures roam the various biomes in the world. A lonesome villager must travel across the various biomes, overcome danger and return The Celestial's power source to its corpse. It's up to you to restore balance to the world.
This was a solo project completed in a class. Everyone in the class received the same player, enemy and environmental assets. This project was completed over 12 weeks.
