A Memorable Odyssey is a 3D, First-Person Simulation game that follows an interactive experience of an individuals psilocybin trip. This game was created as part of a Trimester 4 project, requiring us to create an emotive game experience. I developed a narrative around an young adult who takes psilocybin mushrooms and interacts with objects around his home. Interacting with an object triggers a memory, positively or negatively affecting the trip. There are 3 different endings depending on the trip state level you complete the game on.
The project took 12 weeks to conceptualise, research, document and create in-engine. A Memorable Odyssey was developed with the help of Lachlan Phillips, Devan Laczko-Twomey, Ghina Andriana, Jordan Spencer and Perry Logan-Jacobson.
